Secondary hard drive not seen

So I ran into a problem with my desktop computer and ended up solving it by replacing it with an absolutely identical model (Dell XPS 8500). I was able to move the 500GB SSD directly from one system to the other (that's my Windows drive), and it works perfectly.

However, when I moved my 2TB secondary hard drive (Drive D), Windows (on the replacement system) refuses to see it. I know the computer sees it because it shows up in BIOS. But no sign of it in Windows (not even in Disk Management). I tried uninstalling Intel RST (that's helped in situations like this in the past), but it hasn't helped in this case.

This is not a RAID system. I use the second hard drive for extra storage, my paging file, data for video editing, etc. (most of my day-to-day data is stored on a Windows 2008 server in my basement) that I connect to, and that connection is fine. In fact, everything is working perfectly except no secondary SATA drive.

Should I try moving the SATA cables around? I didn't think that would make a difference, but I've run out ideas.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. OS is Windows 7 Home, 16GB Ram, pretty standard stuff. All drivers are fully up-to-date (that was the first thing I checked).

I temporarily moved the secondary hard drive to 2 other computers (drive with the same SATA cable), and the drive itself shows up and is working great. No problems there; obviously the cable is okay as well. Also, no sign of a problem with drivers in Device Manager on the replacement system.

The last thing I tried was to restore the computer to a previous image (using Acronis TrueImage) from a month ago. The restore worked without issue, but still no sign of the drive.
