New gaming PC, probably looking for pre-built

Hey,

So I used to build my own systems but now that I don't have as much time, and have more disposable income, I'm thinking of just buying a pre-built system.

I feel bad just getting rid of my current system though. My current rig has an AMD Phenom II x6 1090T with an Radeon R9 280X. I know the processor is pretty outdated, but would it be worth considering keeping the card? Or should I just move on from both?

The card is pretty much the only thing I'd want to keep other than maybe the PSU I suppose which is maybe a year old.

If I do get a pre-built, what would you recommend? I would like to not have to upgrade again sooner than a few years. My budget is probably around 1000 for a pre-built.

Not really much you can choose. If it is 1000, you could build around that GPU and save some money. You say yoou don't have time, but it will take 45mins to an hour build...if that. That's the same time it takes to play a few chapters in most games.

You can try a pre-built ROG machine, but still, it's cheaper to just build your own. If you have money to throw around, I'll build it for you, and ship it back :D

ok I have said this before and I will say it again if you live by a microcenter or fry's or really any PC shop that's worth a crap you can hand pick your parts and they will build the PC for you........ I believe the cost at microcenter is about 120
still a better way to go IMO then a pre built
