I just bought Sandisk Extreme 500 external SSD, and it takes up to 3 minues to mount on my desktop. I had tested the ext SSD on another computer and it works fine, and I use another USB 3.0 drive to test which also works fine. I guess I'm missing something in my desktop, how can I fix it?

Spec:
Windows 10 Pro Build 14393
EVGA Z89 Classified

Hey there & Happy New Year, @http403!

I'd advise you to try to fix the issue by uninstalling & reinstalling the external SSD as a device from Device Manager. I'd also suggest you make sure you got all the latest USB Hub controller drivers from your motherboard manufacturer's official website. Windows 10 Updates could potentially interfere and install generic and a bit outdated drivers. I'd also suggest you check your external SSD manufacturer's official website for any brand-specific drive utilities that you could download and check the SSD with. Make sure you also back up all important data somewhere else to avoid any potential data loss.

Keep me posted with the troubleshooting!

@SuperSoph_WD, I tried to reinstall the external SSD, but it don't work. When I tried to install the hub controller drivers, the install program tells me my computer dose not meet the minumum requirements for installation, but didn't tell me which requirement the computer didn't meet. Futhermore, SanDisk didn't provide any software that is usful to fix the problem. What I can do?
