Trying to install Windows 10 on a previously win 7 machine that hadnt been used in a while, but it took 4+ hours to load into Windows 10 boot screen (the one after you hit install)
So I tried to run memtest 4.20 from Hiren's Boot CD (USB). I can boot into hiren's selector screen no problem but from there no matter what I select it'll start booting but never finishes. I confirmed on my laptop the USB is good.
I've tried single RAM stick at a time, reseating the CPU. Resetting CMOS, removing all extra componants, replugging everything. I'm at a loss. I can't even run Memtest to know if it's the RAM or not. Any other ideas to try?
