I have a p67 sabertooth motherboard and it takes many restarts for it to boot. Usually fans spin up but no signal to my monitor/power to peripherals. What is causing the inconsistency of being able to boot up?

Solution
Try to reset the CMOS, if that doesnt work, replace the CMOS Battery with a new one. I had a similar problem with my wife's PC and thought the motherboard was gone too. But resetting CMOS helped and it worked for a couple of days, after that I had to replace the battery. Tha was some 2 months ago and is working fine so far.
To reset the CMOS, check your motherboard manual to find where is the CMOS jumper. Remember to completely disconnect your motherboard from power to reset the CMOS or it wont work.
