I am trying to decide the right gpu to complete my build. The budget was tight.
Specs:
Cpu: amd phenom ii x6 1100t Black Edition @3.4ghz
Psu: corsair cx600
RAM: 8gb DDR3
MOBO: gigabyte 990fx
Current GPU: Gtx 750 ti

I have been trying to decide between the gtx 960 or gtx 970. I understand the CPU is old so there could be bottleneck issues with the 970. I wanted to know if it would be worth going for the 970 or just stick with the 960. Someone help please!! Thanks!:)

Tricky. I just don't think that system is up to making the most of a 970.

Depends. If you are keeping that for a while, a 1050ti would be a good choice. If you think you may upgradfe the whole thing in 6 months, then maybe a 1060 if you can stretch budget. That gives you something to 'grow into'

the RX470 is faster than the 1050ti but I am not up to speed on current pricing.

There might be a blottleneck at very CPU demanding games like GTA 5 or Battlefield 1, but for others like Doom:2016, which use more graphical power than CPU's power, you should be ok. But i would recommend changing 970 to 1060 or 1050Ti
