As the title says, the monitor I have will only display 'out of range' when I connect it to the gpu, I have installed the necessary drivers with it uninstalled and no luck, my specs are

Motherboard - ASUS a88xm-plus
RAM - 2x4 GB hyperx fury
PSU - Corsair VS 650
CPU - AMD A10 7850k
Monitor - I don't know but it's max resolution is 1024 x 762 is this the problem?

Solution
Yes the low resolution of 1024 x 768 is to low for a modern GPU using a modern operating system. It should be possible to set the resolution to 1024 x 768 in the Operating System you're using, but you may need to use another monitor or even a tv that is at least capable of 720p so you can see what you're doing while setting the resolution to 1024 x 768.
