Im looking in the bios of my asus m5a78l-m/usb3 motherboard, trying to find the option to disable two cores of my FX-8350, to stop throttling and vrm overheating. However I can only disable cores through advanced clock calibration option, and im not too sure what else that does to my system, if this is the only way to disable cores, what should i set the acc option to, the options are: auto, per core, all cores, per hotkey...

I have flashed my bios to the most recent version (2101)

I hate to break it to you but disabling 2 cores is not going to solve your problem. Its still a 125w tdp processor on a board that can't nearly handle it. The FX-6350 which is essentially the same processor but only 6 core has the exact same issues on 760G based motherboards.

You can use msconfig to turn the number of cores down to 6, its a simpler idea than using ACC.
