I bought a amd fx-6300 and a Gigabyte 970-gaming SLI. When I went to the store to buy my CPU (amd) I asked what motherboard is compatible with it and he said the 970-gaming SLI. And when I put the CPU into the socket of the motherboard it's to small. I can just take it out without pulling up the lever. I don't know what to do now. Please Help!

Yes your 970 AM3+ motherboard is compatible. Know tho some 970's dont support high watt CPU's so you may not get a good overclock on the FX-6300 95W. Your motherboard only supports the 125W CPU's so be careful if you overclock.
