Hello all, I'm new to overclocking and how you do it, and I'm trying to OC my 860k. My motherboard is a Gigabyte FM2+ A68H. I was able to get what I thought was a good 4.3 GHz overclock with hardly any voltage added, it was stable for 7 hours. I'm running benchmarks like Cinebench and for some reason when I overclock past 4.1 GHz the score in Cinebench is worse than it was with stock 3.7 speed with turbo core. Also, for the OC what settings should I have, as far as c6 core, cool n quiet, etc? The real kicker is some tries some of the cores go between 4.3 and 1.6 GHz at least 2 are 1.6 at any given moment. I think this is why my performance is bad with the OC. Also, what is DRAM voltage and is that the only voltage I need to worry about?

Yes, it sounds like the CPU is throttling. That happens when temp gets out of hand usually, although there are other causes. How are you OC'ing? AMD Overdrive or directly in BIOS? Increasing the multi alone with vcore bumps as needed?

Always Disable turbo mode when OC'ing too. If you haven't that could be the cause of the throttling.
I usually disable C&Q during OC'ing, and then re-enable it when done to see if it matters. Usually it doesn't.

Thank you! I think my cooler wasn't seated properly, it is now and I'm at 4.4 not getting any of those issues. My temp sensor is f*cked I'm not getting any accurate reads. I did notice a difference though
