As stated above this is my first GPU I have never OC'd anything Well I did use the msi gaming app to one click OC my i5 660k to 4.1 and I know I could get more out of it but I really don't know anything about OCing and don't want to mess up my parts.

I know their are a lot of smart people on here and was hoping someone could share information with me especially if it was about this specific card.

TY in advance to anyone who responds.

The best way is to just adjust the slider in afterburner that has the core clock speed. I have the same exact card and I typically just bump it up about 70mhz and the power slider to max when I nee qn extra boost. 90% of what I play has the card sitting at 1303mhz I believe with power setting at max. The card is really powerful and even in demanding games @1080p 60fps it often lowers the core clock speed which is a built in feature to help run more efficiently. Unless your having issues with running in higher resolutions and the card isn't powerful enough then I would just use the built in slider and not even mess with voltages.

You can safely keep moving the core clock up while doing benchmarks to find out the max stable speed with...

So for overclocking GPU its like a fine wine! Everyone is different. So following a guide for your GPU will be good but not the best! I recommend MSI afterburner! Then try slowly increasing the gpu core speed (by like 25mhz) and use a gpu stress test program to test it. Also Monitor your HEAT! Dont let it go over like 80C (Thats hot!). Keep testing until your gpu crashes. If it does you know you went to high up!

You can safely keep moving the core clock up while doing benchmarks to find out the max stable speed with stock voltages. Its been a while but I want to say I got it to around 1500mhz. Once you are approaching 1400mhz start moving it up about 20-30mhz at a time until it your PC will just restart or crash. From there you can start screwing with voltages to get it even higher, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you need the performance boost
