hi I'm building a computer for my grampa and I was wondering if my RAM needs a HEAT SPREADER so do I need a HEAT SPREADER he'll be doing things like checking emails createing documents

No, for anything he's doing a heat spreader wont be needed. Truth be told they're not needed on most RAM in general, but certainly not for anything he's doing.
