I recommend upgrading STRONGLY to at least a Core i3 CPU. Hope this helps!

your xeon is basically an i7 920

specifically for gaming an i3 6100 would be an upgrade yes

if you want a 1060 I would recommend at least a i5 6400 though

you could also try overclocking the xeon and see how it runs with the 1060 first

maxalge is correct, BCLK tweaking to get a bit of a performance increase is your best bet. Hope this helps!

i got the card and the cpu does not bottleneck at all, thank you for the help anyway

You're welcome! Glad there were no issues, did forget to mention that you might be able to overclock that Xeon to around 3.5Ghz with an X58 motherboard if you can get one.
