I recently got a corsair vengeance 1x8 gb ram stick to replace my GB ram sticks i was wondering if i can put them together there are both ddr3 1600mhz but different timing. The 8gb ram stick is 10-10-10-27 and the other one is 9-9-9-24-2N is it possible to put them together?

Solution
Why not try it?
IF it works, you will run at the speed of the least capable stick.
No harm will come if it does not.

Your odds of success I guess might be 65%
Ram is sold in kits for a reason.
A motherboard must manage all the ram using the same specs of voltage, cas and speed.
Ram from the same vendor and part number can be made up of differing manufacturing components over time.
Some motherboards can be very sensitive to this.
This is more difficult when 4 sticks are involved.
That is why ram vendors will NOT support ram that is not bought in one kit.
