So I bought a brand new Corsair cx750m modular power supply from Best Buy today, got home and put it in my nzxt s340 case. I plugged in all the cables and when I flipped the power switch on the psu some dark smoke started coming out of the case along with a strong burning smell. System does not power on at all anymore, although the green LED on the asus motherboard comes on, as well as the white LED on the gtx 1060. I tried taking out the new psu and putting my old one back in, same problem. I even tried an old MSI motherboard and a old cpu with the old power supply and same problem. Stumped on what to do. Any help is appreciated.

If you are 101% sure you plugged everything right and used right cables in right places in the PSU you should make a claim with Corsair for damage. Get a professional appraisal form independent source so that they can't bamboozle you for damage.
