So I'm running a GeForce gtx 660ti 2 gb with a 2560x1080 ultrawide hooked up to and it runs fine. I'm thinking about mounting a 1920x1080 monitor on top of my ultrawide. My goal is a stacked monitor setup. But when I looked on Nvidia website, the 660ti's max resolution is 4096x2160. Adding up my two monitors I get 4480x2160. Can and should I still hook up both monitors or should I save for a new gpu? I plan on gaming on the ultrawide and internet/music on the 1920x1080 monitor.

Solution
The maximum resolution of 4096x2160 listed on nVidias page is counted for each individual display you connect to your card.
Sporting 4 ports the card would support 4 screens of 4096x2160 or a total screen space of 8192x4320 if you put up the screens in the according placement. (16384x2160 if you put them side-by-side)

But as already mentioned, you might want to get a more powerful card. Depending on the games you play and the settings you use, a midrange card from 2012/2013 starts to struggle on more recent games. I've made the change from a 660 Ti to a 1060 just recently myself.
Besides that I've running a similar setup myself (2x 22" 1920x1080 side-by-side and a 20" 1280x1024 ontop of them, flawlessly supportet by both cards. Gaming...
That's not a good idea, i'd upgrade your graphics card before you try to get another monitor.
Don't stack monitors, assuming you meant put it border to border above it, get a vesa mount and put it above your current one.
I think you should save for a 1070, or a 1060 6GB at the very least.
