Q9550 for ₹3300 or i3 2100 + mobo for ₹8000 ?

I already have a pc with core 2 duo E7500.

I want to upgrade with used hardware.

I can find Q9550 for ₹3300.
Also I can find i3 2100 + mobo for ₹8000.

Features/Use I am looking at:
1. Gaming performance
2. Multicore performance for productivity
3. Virtualization features

Which one would be more worthy?

This is the cpu support list for the motherboard that you own, the Q9650 is the best that it supports. The Q9650 is a quad core and is almost on par with the i3 2100, it may even be better for you as i has more cores that the i3 2100, which you would prefer for virtualization etc. It should be alot cheaper than buying a an i3 2100 with a motherboard, and it would be an a lot less hassle of an upgrade.
