How dual graphics work with APUs?

Hi,
I watched some videos and read some articles about AMD APUs. I've came to know that gpu on the APUs like A10 7xxx series is equivalent to R7 250. In many budget builds it's told to dual graphics APU with an R7 250 card, and in future if possible get more powerful card like R7 260x or GTX 750 Ti. But in these cases where discrete graphics cards are better than on board APU can we dual graphics? And how it works?
Also some people run NVIDIA graphics with APUs then do they dual graphics? How?

Solution
There's no point putting a graphics card into an APU since the actual CPU that comes with it is very weak.
People simply choose to run the discrete graphics card as the primary graphics device instead of the iGPU, there is no conflict in using an Nvidia card with an AMD APU.
If you're going to make a PC you're best to get an intel CPU and discrete graphics card if you can afford it.
I only recommend APUs for absolutely budget systems. ($200-250)

Thanks for the quick reply Chugalug_.
So, that means when a card like R7 260x is used with APU it's not in dual graphics right? So that means we can only dual graphics an A10 with R7 250 right?

No, there is no such thing as 'dual graphics' in this case, I don't believe the APU's iGPU qualifies as crossfire compatible.
It is not worth it regardless, a graphics card will only put an APU a little further than it is already performing, the max GPU I would add to any APU is something like a 750ti.

Yeah the benefits are low but I was just curious, especially in the case when we put in R7 260x, and then can we run it in dual graphics or the iGPU is of no use...

Thanks but budget depends on what my parents allow, also I live in India here prices are pretty different (bit costlier). Also when I'll get to know my budget and will decide basic components I'll put it on a new thread to confirm.
And thank you :)
