powerline vs wireless on a 30$ budget

hello people! so my question is:

should i go power line or wireless? heres my stats with an ethernet cable (by the way thats out of the question because i cant run a cable through the hallway):
ping: 16ms download: 66.3 upload: 2.92

also my house was built in the late '60s if that impacts powerline performance please tell me
i would like to mostly game and thats it thanks in advance.

I am in the US, I can't make a good recommendation for UK parts since I don't really know what is available.

The newest standard for powerline is AV2. That is the keyword you want to look for in the description. After that AV500 would be the next level down.
