CPU Temps accurate?

i been thinking about overclocking my A10 5800k a bit and after i downloaded overdrive i had second thoughts on if my temps are accurate.

i checked on overdrive and it says my cpu 'thermal margin' (whatever that is) is around 64c. idle

but openhardware says idle its around 5c, under load around 40c

when i tried HWmonitor it says it was idling around 60c..

why are they all giving different results? all 3 programs give very accurate GPU temps, so i can guess their all fine.

Solution
Well first, AMD overdrive, the thermal margin is how many degrees UNTIL it overheats, meaning your have 64c of headroom.

The 5c had to be false, nothing can be below ambient temp so unless your room is 3c, it's wrong. I found OHM had issues before with my APU.

so theres no way of telling if either of the programs are the actual value? and is there known problems with APU chips and thermometers?

As the above answer said the 5c is impossible. HWmonitor is usually accurate,or at least was for me but you should try cleaning your PC from dust,i had a friend that idled at 70c just because his PC was dirty
