Hey all, does anyone know if I'll be able to overclock the Kaby Lake i5-7600k on a Z170 motherboard just like you could with a 6600k? And if not, would it be a better idea just to get a 6600k instead of a 7600k and just overclock it to oblivion instead of getting a locked 7600k, thanks in advance.

Solution
performance wise a 6600K and 7600K at the same clock speed should be identical. so I would just get a 6600K simply as it will likely be cheaper. with a BIOS update you should be able to use any kabylake chip, but I would not bother. If you want to overclock at all, I would not get a locked chip.
