[/quote]I just tried to put together my new PC yesterday, and the transformer in my PSU blew out. I'm worried that I may have used the wrong cables to power my board. The board requires an 8 pin connector to power the CPU. However, I used a PCI-E 8 to 6+2 pin cable. Could that have caused my psu to go out, or did my motherboard cause the burn? Also, could this have ruined my cpu?
