Need advice for GPU

Community! USPS bricked my GPU while I sent it in for repairs...i know I'm an idiot for sending it through them. never had nice things to ship before...now i know...

As such I'm in need of a new GPU and am probably leaning towards NVIDIA. Below are my specs, I'm very amateur when it comes to building PCs so any and all advice is welcome. Want to make sure I get a compatible card. Budget is about $200-300 for the GPU. Appreciate the help all!

Specifications:
Case: Corsair Carbide Spec 01
CPU:i5 -4460 3.2GHz
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-B85M-HD3 LGA1150
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RAM 2x4GB
Power Supply: EVGA Supernova B2 750W
Storage: WD Caviar Blue 1TB

Again thank you, looking for a good gaming card in the $200-300 budget that is compatible and fits in my case!

According to him you should absolutely get the GTX 1060. It's probably better do to research first and see which one suits you better though.

Nvidia Pascal = Asus Strix, MSI Gaming X, Zotac AMP! Extreme, Gigabyte Xtreme are the best

AMD Polaris = Asus Strix, MSI Gaming X, XFX GTR are the best.

This might grind your gears but the majority of games I play arent really all that GPU intensive. AKA lots of league of legends, CS GO. I do play elder scrolls online a lot however so I would like that at close to max if i can. Looking to start overwatch and I will be purchasing upcoming story games too.

TL;DR Yes I would like to 1080p. Not 100% required though.

Getting a little lost between the MSI, Gigabyte, etc...would you mind providing a link so I make sure I buy the right one? Some have one fan (which i deduced was the 3gb and not what I want).

What's the difference between MSI, Gigabyte, Nvidia anyways? I want the nvidia gtx anyways right?
