I am going to buy a new pc. The specs will be the following.

Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
Asus GTX 1080
Corsair H100 240mm Hydro watercooling
500 gb m.2 ssd
3 tb hdd
16 gb 2666 ram
i5 6600k

So, I am planning to overclock my cpu for this, probably not my gpu. How much wattage in a psu do I need for this? My current guess would be ≈ 550 wattage. All help is greatly appreciated.

The problem is that, I will have problems getting one into the current build.

When you say it might be worth, do you mean as in need, or future proof?

neither.
I mean in will run marginally cooler and maybe a bit quieter.

loads when gaming won't exceed 380W if they get that high
a RM650x will probably run without the fan speeding up most of the time.
it might be worth it if the difference is like 7bucks

what's the problem? size? because it's standard size.
the XFX TS Gold Series / Cooler Master V & VS 550W are 2cm shorter, EVGA SuperNOVA GS 1cm

It's not an option, where I am buying it for some reason, so if you mean it will be too low, I will find something else.

So good to hear :wahoo:

Will it still be enough if I overclock the processor slightly?
