Hello all, today I purchased a second GPU for crossfire and also a secondary monitor. After installing my second GPU my computer starts up just fine, but when I click everything slows down and it takes a minute for me to regain control. I am setting it up to where each monitor is connected to a different gpu. I am also having trouble getting my second monitor to be identified my my pc. Any ideas as to why my pc is having these issues?

Motherboard - X99A GAMING PRO CARBON
Graphics - XFX Radeon RX 480 (Crossfired)
CPU - i7-5820k 3.30GHz
Storage - Samsung 850 EVO 1TB
RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws4 (16g)
Monitor - ASUS MX279H
Keyboard and Mouse - Black Web
Case - Thermaltake Commander MS-I Snow

EDIT --- I have found that removing my second GPU fixed the problem of it being slow, I have no idea why it bogs my system down though

Solution
try the new gpu alone in the system on first slot then use the old one in the second slot in crossfire and if everything work had the second monitor to system .

I didn't have a virus before I installed my gpu, how could I have gotten one by turning my computer off and installing a graphics card

I ended up sort of doing that, just took it out and reinstalled it. It was odd that it took me doing that two times to work. Thanks much!
