My internal HDD prevents dock and computer from powering on.

Now to begin, I've used a Hitachi (Model: HDP725050GLA360) 500gb Sata 3.0 Gb/s ever since "May-2009" (date saying on the drive). Last week, I ejected the hard drive from my old computer for my new computer build, and when I try starting my computer (with the drive by itself), it would not post. Nothing would turn on for a split second.
I then try using the drive in my external HDD bay, and as soon as it clicks in, the bay shuts off. Checking on my computer, there was no sign of the non-working hard drive. I need some guidance of how to fix this issue, or some information of what is going on.

Thank you.

Additional Edit: Now, I never mentioned this already, but the drive has no OS on it. It has valuable data that I need. Even if I connect it to my old computer, it will as well not post. This hard drive is unusable for all electronics that try to read it. It will only end up shutting off as soon the hard drive makes contact to the connectors.

If it doesnt have an OS on it then you cant get into windows with it. If this is the only hdd thats connected

You have to connect it to something that turns on and boots into windows. To see if its fixable

You could try downloading / burning a Linux ISO, and use it as a livecd

The hard drive will not make anything work, unless if it's unplugged.

Okay, it shut off again, but this time, I heard a click in the hard drive as soon as I connected it.
