At first I was planning to buy a new cpu, but that cpu is only like 10%? stronger than my current cpu so I was like to hell with it I'll get a new gpu instead. Which of these do you think is the bang for the buck?

What are your current specs? Are those prices in CAD?

*I would say whichever is the cheapest GTX 1050.

In CPU you'd need to move up to an i5 to be a worthwhile upgrade. In videocards, from a 750 Ti to a 1050 does not make a lot of sense to me. Aim for at least a $220 1050 Ti.

You could look around for a used i5-3570 instead of the i3-6100 because you wouldn't have to upgrade mobo + ram.

As far as the GPU, definitely the cheapest GTX 1050 (or even a 950, they are about the same) you can get your hands on.

Just be sure you find one that has this in the description, "The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended."

And if it doesn't perform like all the other i5-3570s, or if it has any defects that prevent performance at full capacity, you are covered under Ebay's 30 day Money Back Guarantee. Also make sure it doesn't have anything in the description/title stating that is has any defects.

I've bought several CPUs on Ebay and they worked great. Just don't buy from China and make sure the seller has a positive reputation with more than a few reviews.
