How much is the power consumption of RX 480 and GTX 1060 considering all the latest driver updates?

Solution
Power consumption wise the RX 480 tends to do better as of late but the numbers are still very close for the most part. As for which is more future proof. I'd the rx 480 8GB is more future proof because of the Vram. performance is similar but the extra ram helps even at 1080P as many games already use more the 4GB at that resolution.

rx480 has only one 6 pin power connector , i don't own one but it seems to be using a new AMD architecture which has a new lithography , like intel's 10 nm stuff ; none are really any future proof cause you have to swap graphics cards even if you don't need to upgrade cpu's after a couple of years , no matter what the system requirements tell you , my own experience , with rx you probably get to pay slightly less also

RX 480 is more futureproof as AMD's drivers improve considerably over the years. They have pretty much the same amount of compute power.

The RX 480 consumes around 150W and the 1060 around 120W. Why does power consumption concern you?

Some of the aftermarket 480s can actually top out at 170-180w (most have twin 6 pins or single 8 pins)

Likewise some of the 1060s can push 140w if heavily overclocked.

Essentially card for card you're looking at 40-50w between a 1060 & 480 compritive model.

Because my 450W PSU isn't enough for rx 480
