Is fx6300 worth water cooling?

I'll try to be specific. I run my fx6300 on 4Ghz. My air cooler can handle only up to 4.1 Ghz. I want at least 4.5-4.6Ghz. I'm considering to buy "deepcool maelstrom 120t".
Which option is best:
1. Worth - Buy that cooler (it will allow me to reach 4.5Ghz+) (40€)
2. Not worth - Switch to Intel MB with i3 6100 (~180€)
3. Upgrade to fx8350 (~170€)
4. Wait for upcoming AMD Ryzen

Thanks for opinions in advance.

Do not suggest me any other water coolers, because this one is cheapest where I live. Do not suggest air coolers, unless they're smaller (or equal) than Raijintek aidos.

Your CPU cooler is a very good one. A AIO 120mm will be of little benefit. Spend the little bit more for 240mm if possible, but a 120mm should be able to reach 4.7 GHz easily.
I am currently using a 280mm radiator to cool my FX 4350 4.90 GHz VCore 1.6V. You will probably get higher clocks then mine, probably 5.0 GHz unless your chip also takes big voltage like mine. (4.5 GHz 1.40000V)

Dont spend so much on a CPU that is of little improvement to your current CPU unless you are only going to game. Furthermore you need DDR4 RAM and a new board.

Spend the €40 or better spend for a bigger rad. cooler. Then when Zen comes out you can reuse the cooler.

Sorry for late reply

Thank you for detailed answer! I'm thinking to buy same cooler but 240mm version (additional 10euros), since I've seen good tests on it. The biggest concern is now if this cooler will be compatible with upcoming ryzen AM4 socket? Maybe do you know? I sent a mail to deepcool about that, too bad they didn't reply.
