Hello guys,

for weeks now I am running into random crashes and every time I thought I found out why my machine crashes, it crashed with other software running than I thought caused BSODs. Sometimes completely random when browsing the web or just Spotify and a browser running and nothing else.

First I thought it was my old GPU, a Geforce GTX 560 that was crashing, because the crashes happened most of the time running Photoshop, Blender or VLC, which all use GPU acceleration. So I got a new video card (GTX 1060 with 6gb), but unfortunately the system only kept stable for a couple of days.

I already tried to reinstall everything, from software to drivers, put my BIOS back to default settings, ran Memtest86+ for a few hours and my Ram seems fine. The power supply shoud be alright also, since it always worked and I get blue screens with different errors leading to ntoskrnl.exe most of the time. I'm just running out of ideas how I can find out what causes the trouble. Would be really happy for some help.

Slowly I thought about going back to Windows 7 (from now Windows 10), when everything was rock solid but to be honest, I like Win10 and going backwards can't be the right move I think.

Here are my system specs:

Computer: MSI MS-7673
CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K (Sandy Bridge-DT XE, D2) 3400 MHz (34.00x100.0) @ 3700 MHz (37.00x100.0)
Motherboard:MSI P67A-G45 (MS-7673)
Chipset: Intel P67 (Cougar Point) [B3]
Memory: 16384 MBytes @ 666 MHz, 9.0-9-9-24
2x 8192 MB PC10600 DDR3 SDRAM - Kingston
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, 4095 MB
Drive: Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series, 125.0 GB, Serial ATA 6Gb/s @ 6Gb/s
Drive: WDC WD5000AAKS-007AA0, 488.4 GB, Serial ATA 3Gb/s
Drive: SAMSUNG HD204UI, 1953.5 GB, Serial ATA 3Gb/s

Drive: WDC WD10EADS-11M2B3, 976.8 GB, Serial ATA 3Gb/s <-> USB
Sound: Intel Cougar Point PCH - High Definition Audio Controller [B3]
Sound: NVIDIA, Device ID: 10F1
Network: RealTek Semiconductor RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC

Thanks so much already for taking the time to help me.

Thanks for your answer, unfortunately not. I reinstalled Windows today and haven't made a backup since I didn't need the old data, just a couple of files and settings that I backed up. Haven't had issues since.

I just have taken out every single cord in my PC, careful cleaned it all up with my vacuum cleaner for about half an hour and put all cables back. Also cleaned ram slots etc as good as possible. I gave windows a stress test with a 6000x6000 pixel big Photoshop file with a couple of layers so it has something to do that is near to the normal usage but more intensive. And gamed for a while. And it has been running for over 3 hours now solid. I hope my trouble is gone, but I'll get back to the forums here once I know more about the stability of my system.

Anyway, thanks, I really appreciate your time!

So hey guys, it went more stable but still I can't really work on a professional level on this machine, it is just unreliable.

All the time I'm getting different BSODs. MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, ntoskrnl.exe, win32kfull.sys, different drivers etc.

In the meantime I checked both my RAM sticks multiple times without errors. Windows Memory Diagnostic runs fine, Memtest86+ runs fine for over 3hours etc.

So the conclusion can only be motherboard or the PSU. The PSU has enough power, since the machine ran stable with the old graphics card for years and the new one is about 1/3 less power hungry and the crashes before getting a new GPU didn't change from the crashes now.

How do I find out if it is the board or the PSU without getting hardware to test it?

I hope someone can tell me something that helps me testing further.
Thanks guys. :)

Edit: it is not the temperature, I've got a new cooler for the CPU a few weeks ago and even under enormous stress (rendering) it doesn't ever go over 71°c.

This file ElbyCDIO.sys is 3 yrs old. See if theres an update for Anydvd, or Virtual CloneDrive

Old drivers can crash windows. This file GEARAspiWDM.sys is 5 yrs old. If you use Itunes, update it

This file ISCTD64.sys is 5 yrs old. Update Intel Smart Connect Technology Driver

netio.sys is also crashing. Do you use wireless or Ethernet to get online? This file wfplwfs.sys is also crashing

What are you using Virtual clonedrive for?

Thank you so much for your time Paul. I didn't want to say all problems are gone for a few days. First, after I deleted, uninstalled and fixed every little thing you told me to, all went fine for a couple of days.

But when I felt about save the whole thing crashed again. And again. In the middle of about anything that needs a little performance. While Dota 2 runs, when I do some heavy lifting 3D work. It crashes.

The crashes now always only refer to Windows: NTFS.sys, ntoskrnl.exe, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT bsods... but I tested the ram again with memtest86+. Still no problems there.

Will install a completely fresh version of windows in the next one or two days and then we'll se again what is going on.

Here are my latest Minidumps. https://1drv.ms/f/s!Asa5hH1N5urVnVr4BQmtObmqQZMP

Right now I kind of can't think of a software problem anymore. We'll see after reinstalling Win10 from the ground up.

Thanks for all your help and time guys!

So I've been reinstalling a completely fresh version of Windows 10, still having crashes after I manually downloaded and installed all necessary drivers.
3 Crashes today.

2x SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION - ntoskrnl.exe
1x KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED - fwpkcllnt.sys, Ndu.sys, ntoskrnl.exe, USBPORT.sys

I think I might have had about 30 or 40 different crash reports now.

Since the problems occur with the old Geforce 560Ti that I had for four years now and also with the brand new GTX1060 it must be the Motherboard or the PSU, right?

I'm pretty helpless right now, I tested the system with benchmarks like 3dmark and PCmark, both ran flawlessly but when I try to game or work on performance hungry tasks, the machine goes crazy.

Checked the ram again for about 2 hours in Memtest, the ram is fine as far as I know.

Thanks a lot for reading guys.
