So today I continued playing GTA V, I didn't play the game for a few months now, but I got some problems. The game crashes the computer. It never happened to me before. Sometimes the game simply freezes the computer, sometimes the half of the screen will turn red and other half into RGB colors. First noticed it when entering a taxi, after the crash I played as trevor in a side mission, the the red crash happened. What is going on? I also first got crashes ERR_GFX_D3D_INIT, but I fixed them by rebooting. Laptop: ASUS X550ZE, GPU:AMD R6 7400p, R5 M230 series, CPU:AMD A10 7400p, 8 GB of ram.

Solution

When a game crashes it can enter a sort of lock-down state that can freeze the computer entirely and the only way out (because it will bring the broken game page back to front when tabbing out) is to either restart or log off from the start menu. This is really just an extension of a game crash

so over time my drivers became not compatible, even if I did not update the game? Also, I don't have catalyst, I have Radeon settings. Probably disappeared after Windows 10 update, well, I was able to install Radeon Settings
