So basically we just bought a new PC and chose to remove the hard drive because we already have one (saving money), the possible problem is that the hard drive we have has Windows 10 installed on it already when we don't want it to be, so we can freshly install the new Windows 10 we purchased and keep the files and stuff on the existing drive that we own. If we hooked up the new hard drive and then booted the PC with the disk for Windows 10 would it just overwrite the existing Windows 10 files on the drive? Help please!

Thanks in advance!

Solution
Typically when you do a new install of Windows over an old install of windows, you'll end up with a folder called Windows.old ; this is where all the old data will end up

Thankyou for clarifying that for us! Much appreciated.
