Battlefield 2 Bad company freezing

Occasionally my games just freezes but the sound continues to play which is really annoying,I have to task manager then program down.It happens about once every 2 hours.

Specs
i3 3240t
rx 460 2gb
6gb
350w psu

I'm using a hdmi to vga active adatper if that is what is causing the problem

It's possible your PSU is not up to scratch? you'd need to check out an on-line 'psu calculator', enter your components and find out. Additionally, if you're PSU is a cheaper model, it PSU may not output what it promises.


You could also download and install MSI Afterburner (unless you have similar installed). Youtube will show you how to use this. Then, check out the real-time logs for your CPU, GPU and memory while the game is playing. To do this you might need to Alt-Tab out of the game, or if you can't, shut the game down after a little while.

What do you see under %usage for each of these components.

Also, do your fans spin up loudly when gaming?
