So this problem first occurred yesterday when i was playing a newly found game (DayZ). This game is quite stressful even for my PC:
Specs (Nothing OC'd)
CPU-i5 6400
RAM-Corsair Vengance LPX 12gb (3x4gb Not Dual Channel)
GPU-GTX ROG STRIX 1070 (Newly bought)
PSU-Corsair CX600M
Mobo-Asus z170-p
HDD-WD Caviar Blue 1tb

I dealt with this problem yesterday as it only happened around twice but it was hardly bearable as i was forced to restart my pc every time this happened. I tried to play this game again today but it just wasn't having it, i was waiting to join a server (not under heavy load yet) and the problem came back. I have reinstalled GPU drivers and tried another monitor to see if the problem would happen again and sure enough it did. This leads me to believe that the problem is with the GPU or the PSU. I have read about this problem for around an hour now and its helpful to see im not alone, but these posts i have read mentioned the PSU not being able to handle the demand of components or GPU drivers as the fans ramp up. As i mentioned earlier my PSU is 600w which should be enough to handle the load of all my components with about 100w to spare. Even under max load the GPU Only needs 340w with the rest of the system taking 170w *NOTE i haven't taken into account the CPU under max load (probably the PSU now that i think about it)*. But as you see i am completely stuck for ideas and need this sorted fairly quickly but a new PSU isn't a good option but would but would only be an inconvenience. Thanks for any responses.

Solution
i use a corsair tx model in mine never had issue check my specs ,they should go low on speed if psu could not handle them but this look like it going on overload so check voltages when you stress system in hwinfo .

(Note: The fans only sometimes go haywire and i can't identify whether it is the chasis fans, the GPU fans or the CPU Fan. I still hear my friends on discord, just nothing in game and the black screen with the display still on.)
*now 3 days later and many black screens later i dont hear any desktop sound as it cuts off 1-3 seconds later*

I am really stuck for answers here because after doing countless hours of research with looking at other builds with roughly the equivalent components under full load not needing anywhere near a 600w PSU so now i am beginning to doubt what the problem really is.

tried the hwinfo and for some reason it wouldnt launch after closing it once and then tried to re install but still nothing. Also im not running single channel 12gb although i am running 12gb 3 channel so not sure about the difference but ill remove one 4gb stick and see what happens but note i have been running this for around 5 months and nothing happened then but i am aware of problems cropping up out of nowhere.

I have run cinnabench with only the cpu active and 8gb dual channel ram. I have realised that i didnt take into concideration the 80+ bronze certification, as i am using 90% (and above) in max load. As far as my understanding goes, this system exceeds this 80% power threshold under max load. So if my understanding is correct surely this would lead to the display and fans going haywire?

Went and picked one up today and havent had an issue, been able to play the games ive been wanting to play on max settings with nothing happening for around 3 hours so i think the power supply was just faulty or too much stress as i cleaned it out for dust as a last test before getting a new one.
