I recently just upgraded to a fx 8350 cpu and msi 970 gaming motherboard and I am experiencing really bad frames in games like CS GO. I was previously receiving around 150fps with a AMD Athlon II X4 750K and was expecting around 250 with my new processor. However I am now only receiving 30 fps at best in cs.

All help is appreciated.

Steps already attempted - reinstalling GPU drivers

Extra information - Temps look fine

Screen Shot of msi Command centre - https://gyazo.com/cc1ed78323f73431351cd3ba52bdf757

Specs -
OS - Win10 64bit
Gpu - GTX 750ti
PSU - 500w
RAM - 8gb

Solution
From the screen shot, the cpu frequency is pretty low, only 1400mhz, but it maybe under the idle condition. Do you reinstall the OS? or just move the whole hard drive with the win10 into the new PC. Or double check the cpu temp during the game or reseat the cooler, if the temp is overheat, you will get the lower frequency like that.

Enable high performance mode in power options so all cores are running at 4GHz. Then see how your performance is.
