Hello, I have just signed up to this forum so please go easy on me. But recently I jhsbr purchased a 144hz monitor and noticed that I cannot run most games at 144hz. I have thinkinh all year to upgrade to a 1070 but I'm not sure if I can handle it.
My Specs are:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
CPU
Intel Core i5 4460 @ 3.20GHz 55 °C
Haswell 22nm Technology

2048MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 (Gigabyte) 65 °C
Storage

If you want to know if you can handle a 1070, that depends primarily on two factors:
1) What power supply are you using? Please share that hardware detail. But considering you're running a GTX 960, you'll probably be fine on that front since they use similar power.
2) Is your case big enough? Compare the length of your 960 to the 1070 you want to buy.

So long as you satisfy those two requirements, you can pretty much run a 1070...now to the elephant in the room:

Will a 1070 allow you to run games at 120fps+? That depends on the games and you'll want to look up benchmarks on that.

Lastly, your DDR3 setup doesn't make any sense. 14GB? Is that an 8GB, 4GB, and 2GB stick? If so, you'll probably run just as fast with the single 8GB stick and you should definitely remove the 2GB stick. If it's three 4GB's and a 2GB, just use two 4GB sticks in matching color slots. That speed might be right, but 1333Mhz (666x2) is slower than I'd expect. Sometime down the road, fiddle with those speeds a bit to match what's showing on your RAM sticks.

Here's a thread that discusses whether 120fps+ is worth it: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1845694/144hz-monitor-worth.html
My wallet's not deep enough at the moment to worry about that though.

My PSU is 500W and i'm not sure. I was wondering if people had an incite if they know if my case is big enough. And i'm not sure why there just a random two gig is tbf. But yeah.
