Hey guys,

I've got myself a pretty decent but old notebook from which I'm trying to extract some extra life. I am still quite a distance away from gathering the necessary money for my next gaming notebook so I am trying my best to extend the life on this one.

I already have a brand new SSD which certainly improved things already and I'm looking to buy a 16gb ram card to up my total RAM to 20gb. Now I was wondering how I would go about overclocking my GPU. Bear in mind that I've never OC'd anything before, so please go easy one me.

Would you advise me to do it? Would I see some decent improvement? I tried searching online but haven't found benchmarks for the 480m, just the desktop version. With that one people were able to bring it to the level of a 570, which is a pretty decent gain, I think.

Should I do it, then? And if so, how could I do it safely?

Yea I have read that about laptops and all, but this laptop is a bit different. It is programmed to take up to 3 HD's, 2 GPU's and it has a desktop CPU, so it's built to handle a bit more than the usual. That's why I thought an OC would be a possibility. I thought that maybe I could control for GPU temps.
