Its a preference thing really. I prefer Gigabyte motherboards. Traditionally speaking, EVGA is considered the top brand though. You'll find that there is a roughly even split of people who have Gigabyte, MSI, Asus, and ASrock.

All of them are as durable as each other, so it really comes down to what design you like best and what features youre looking for.

There is no set answer for what the best ATX motherboard is. It all depends on the features that you find most important and the ones you don't really care about. For example, you may want USB 3.1 ports instead of RGB lighting. Find a motherboard with the things you want for a price you are comfortable with.

So far we basically have some pictures of the boards themselves to look at. Leaning towards the ASUS Prime series myself.

EVGA makes some interesting boards. Curious to see what they release this time.

It does seem like a lot of the premium boards are going for lighting for some reason. As long as it can be turned off I guess.

I haven't seen listing yet, just the product announcements themselves.

So we have press-release tables describing features, but not actual websites to go to and look at each product.

Basically going to do what I did last time with Haswell. Pick a well known brand and hope for the best without reviews, got a little burnt with the early USB 3.0 hibernation bugs.

not true as everyone is saying it too kabylake and skylake have no real improvements in performance only power saving and igpu stuff for the z270 and z170 only diff is the pci lanes or something along those lines where in 2days world is this better than the current version. no point in upgrading to 7th gen it is the clock speeds in kabylake that are good. doe i go for an i5 6600 or an i7 6700k
