So last night I was gaming before bed then all the sudden my computer goes off. I was about to go to bed any way so I just turned off the power supply and went to bed. After getting home from school today I tried to turn on my computer and nothing happened. I know the computer had power because the lights on my MB, at one point they were flashing but it seemed to aligned to be random power failures. I disconnected and reconnected some of the psu cables on either side but to no avail. I ended up taking out my graphics card to make sure it wasn't that and the problem was still present. I'm just trying to make sure there is any silly thing I'm missing before I take this apart like a MB breaker or something.

Side notes:
I made sure it wasn't acually the case power switch.
I tried to turn it on with everything but power unplugged

PC specs:
MB- asus z170 pro gaming
CPU- i7 6700k

RAM- 2 8gb sticks of g.skill 2800mhz ddr4

UPDATED
-not the psu because I just checked it with another one and the flashing only occurs somethings when I turn on the switch on the psu

Have you checked the front panel connections on the motherboard? They're tricky and sometimes easy to miss and easily come loose.

A 1KW PSU is a little too much in this day and age...though I'm not even certain how much power your entire system draws.
