Hi guys,
So Im a musician and at my first house I had problems with static sound coming through my speakers when I moved the mouse or dragged windows. I figured out it was a grounding problem and just moved my computer power to another outlet in the house.
Now i've moved and im getting the same thing except I cant get rid of it. I've got it down to a small buzz but still noticeable. Now I think it may be my PSU. When things are moving on the screen I get the buzz, so as you can imagine when playing games it gets pretty crazy. So I load up WoW and the buzz turns into a chainsaw sound. For some reason I was behind my computer and my PSU was making the exact same sound...
So are my speakers (JBL 308) picking up my PSU? My speakers are powered from a different outlet on the wall, in another room... the only thing I can think of is my Sound Card (Steinberg UR22) picking it up through its USB power to my computer? Thanks!
