I want to use my Shure SM58 Mic on my PC for recording purposes. The mic wont work plugged directly into the PC so what I was thinking is using my Alesis Quadraverb 2 (audio effects processor) for its output. I want to plug in the mic to the Quadraverb and use a 1/4 to 3.5mm converter and plug directly into the PC mic port. What I want to know is, is this safe? Or would it be a major mistake and fry something?
