I'm aware that there are a few other threads that contain solutions to this issue, but none have worked for me.

My MSI geforce GTX 1060 6gb is basically brand new, I've had it for two months now. In these two months I never came across an issue with crashing or anything. Very recently, I was playing Mad Max on the recommended (high-medium) settings when my screen lost signal, and my gpu fans went 100%. I have tried reseating the card, checking the connections and clearing out the dust with compressed air. I've been running a few tests, playing overwatch, GTA and The Shadow of Mordor whilst keeping an eye on my gpu temps. MSI afterburner says my gpu temp never rises above 45. Any suggestions?

My build:
Intel core i5 3570k
MSI Gtx 1060 6gb
corsair 600M psu
8 gbs of ram

You got three drives + a 1060 + that processor wich is cool but not so much energy efficient. Thats the reason you are having this issues on games that requieres to push to the maximum your processor and your GPU and you are aswell pushing to the very limit that PSU, it will catch up on fire soon.
Back in 2011 i used to have an HD 7770 Wich is a far smaller GPU and belive me... my 550W gold + was not enough to even power my pc up... so i ended up changing for an 850W bronze + PSU. Never had a problem Again...
Now this days i only run my 2 Gtx 1080 with a 1200W PSU titanium certified or im not running it! You have to let free 35% of your PSU capacity to not force it and frie your whole PC...

I have three drives, and am not water cooling. Is it a PSU problem?

I would recommend you to upgrade to a 750W Thermaltake PSU or any other 750W PSU from a trustable trademark...
