Hey everyone. I'm really new to PC building and not sure what I'm doing, although I asked a more experienced friend for advice who helped me make a build.
The motherboard I chose for overclocking was the Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard, and the RAM Crucial Ballistix Elite 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory. I live in a foreign country and both were very cheap (MOBO was $110, RAM $85), and PCPP gave me no alerts about compatibility issues. Then after ordering I noticed that the RAM is 2666, and the MOBO is apparently compatible with DDR4-2133 / 2400 / 2800 / 3200.
I feel as if I made a big mistake, but will my RAM work in this motherboard?
