So I was on my pc this morning and all of a sudden it shut down out of nowhere and the power supply made a cracking noise untill I unplugged the powerchord. I smelt a fiery smell, like something was on fire in my desktop. When I plugged it back in , and pressed the power button again it made another cracking sound for about 3 seconds then stopped. I have a "Silverstone Evolution 2.0 SST-ST1200-G" power supply. I also heard that it could possibly be a motherboard failure, but before this all I didn't have any problems, so I doubt it's from my motherboard (Asus IV Rampage). Plus the stop and start lights on the motherboard are also on when I have my powerchord plugged in but the pc doesn't turn on.
I really have no clue wich is broken of the two, any answer is highly appreciated.
