I don't think my new gaming pc is working to its potential. HELP!

I just built a new gaming pc with the current specs.
Cpu- AMD FX-6300
Gpu- Radeon rx 460 2gb
Psu- Evga 550w Bronzed
MOBO- Gigabyte 970a- ud3p
Ram- 16gb
HDD- WD 1 TB

When I try to run Team fortress two it is incredibly laggy and it won't even run Infestation: New z.
I think something is wrong help me please.

Case- BitFenix Nova ATX Mid Tower Case
and all of my fans are stock fans including the one that comes on the case and ive only seen my cpu temp. hit 35 degrees celsius.
Also, how do I check my drivers and where to find the new ones to download? and How do I check if my bios is up to date. Sorry about all the questions Im new to pc building
