Hi guys,

So yesterday I added in 2 new 140mm fans and 1x 120mm to my case. I put the 140mm fans in sys_fan2 & sys_fan3 slots on my Gigabyte Z97-x SLI motherboard. I booted up and they all worked completely fine. It was like a fridge inside my case. (The fans in question are Noctua NF-F12)

Anyway I powered down last night and went to use it this morning and now both the 140mm fans do about 5 full rotations when first booted then completely stop spinning. I have made no changes to the PC since last night so I don't understand how they suddenly don't work and both fans are enabled in the bios. The sys_fan1 continues to work completely fine even when the other two fans stop spinning.

Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers
Will

Sounds normal to me.

My computer automatically turns off my rear and front fans if the temperatures are below 45C.

It's likely an automatic fan control setting...

It's likely an automatic fan control setting in your BIOS - The fact it spins on start-up shows that there is power. Try running a graphic intensive game for 10 minutes and see if the fans start.
