Should I upgrade, and if so, what should I buy?

Hello there!

So lately I've discovered some issues I might say, I've been playing world of warcraft and I've seen that on very high settings, I cannot go above 50 frames and that my GPU is getting hotter and hotter, so I started playing other games like all games from blizzard entertainment, gta V, Rust and so on, and my fps are terrible from what I am expecting.

So cuz I wanted a as fast as possible response, I asked a wow GM trough a live chat and he said that my https://www.amazon.de/MSI-Grafikkarte-Speicher-DisplayPort-Dual-Link/dp/B00HQJBWIM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483534397&sr=8-1&keywords=radeon+r9+290x is not even in the minimal setup, so I searched around internet and foud out about the new gtx 1050Ti that seemed to be promising, asked a GM and he said it would be very good to buy it.

My question is, should I buy a gtx 1050ti, or should I do something with what I have now, and if so what brand or should I buy a better one but same price (don't have a big budget), if you can please answear to my questions...

My specs are:

i5-4460
10GB DDR3 RAM
the GPU mentioned
MOBO: ASUS H-81 gamer

Even with AMD's handicap, with regards to WoW, a 290x should do better, than a GTX 1050ti. I wouldn't expect great results beyond graphics setting of 7 or 8. Turn shadows to low, and disable SSA0. Also, your ram is not configured properly. Ram should be matched pairs.

There is a graphics setting slider, on graphics quality settings. Set it to a 7, put shadows on low, and disable SSAO.

Ram should be in matched pairs, meaning both sticks of ram should be identical. 10gb is not a proper configuration. It should be 2x4gb sticks, or 2x8gb sticks. 10gb is most likely an 8gb, with a 2gb. That can lead to system instability. Remove the 2gb, and buy a matching 8gb stick.
