Problems after uninstalling GPU drivers

Hello, I posted recently and I managed to decide to get a 1060 upgrade for my PC as recommended.

After installing my new GPU to the motherboard, everything was working fine and I read a little bit about removing the old drivers with DDU. I downloaded DDU and ran it, choosing the "changing to a new graphics card" option. My pc turned off, and when I tried to turn it on again, my pc starts and stops repeatedly all within a few seconds.

I tried resetting my PC, and whenever it doesn't have the start and stop problem, the CPU fan starts etc, but nothing comes up on my screen. I have attempted to plug in the vga cable to my motherboard directly as well to see if the problem is with my new 1060 but it doesn't seem to work.

Read some old threads on pressing F8 for bios but nothing even pops up to give me that option.

Totally out of ideas and would really appreciate some help :/

Solution
DDU is terrible and just causes tons of problems for windows users.

Try removing the GPU entirely, and then try using your on board video card - see if you can start your computer that way.

Oh my god that works. I'm typing this from my PC now.

I'm unsure how to proceed now to install things though. With the GPU plugged in my PC refuses to read. However, when I use my onboard video card, I tried to install the NVIDIA driver but it didn't work :|

Just try putting the GPU back in, sometimes all it takes is for you to remove it, and to place it back in for things to work again. Sometimes it's just that simple.

Windows should install the basic display drivers for the GPU when windows starts, then go to the manufacturer website and download the correct up-to-date drivers for that specific model.

It didn't work at first, but.. I rebooted it again and I heard that familiar beep as it booted. Thank the heavens. All is well now. Thanks so much for your help! I really appreciate it :)
