Hi there,

I have seen loads of posts about the CX corsair series complaining about the 24 pin plug being stiff. All of them said that you have to just force it in and thats the best way. So that is what i did i tried to force it in and i managed to force it in mostly and the clip seems to have gone over the socket,( I am using the MSI H110m PRO VD plus mobo if any1 is wondering) and still nothing turns on. So then i turned on the power supply while trying to plug in the 24 pin and when i had partially plugged it in the case fans turned on and the PSU fan started spinning and that was it but the CPU fan didn't turn on. A red light started blinking next to the RAMM and it was labeled CPU but then that stopped, It only flashed when i partially put in the 24 pin at some angle. I decided to keep the PSU and have a fiddle by moving the 24 pin to side to side while partially plugged in and the CPU fan did spin for about a second then stopped. What is it? i cant decide whether it is the motherboard which is not working because the Case fan which was plugged into the mobo didn't turn on but that might be because it was a 3 pin connector and there was only a 4 pin connector there IDK i am new. If someone has actually bothered to read through all of this and could explain to me what the hell is going on and what i could do that would be so appreciated i am so terrified right now because this is my first build and my parents will not be best pleased when they realised that my pc does not work and they spent 300 towards it.

One last thing, if the mobo is not working and i have plugged in all the parts towards it and turned on the power does this mean that everything like the CPU and GPU will not work? also i have been wearing a static wrist band through this whole thing. except when i wore these rubber gloves.

Thanks everyone who replies to this.
