I asked the same question a while back but since I did not have enough at the time, I did not buy what was offered to me. I'd also like more answers.

So my GPU died late this summer so I had to rely on my CPU's chip for computer access for a few months until it then ceased functionning around 2,5 months ago.

So I'd like to buy a new GPU. My price range is between $100-$150 (or the same amount in euros).

My specs are:
Motherboard: M5A78L-M LX PLUS
PSU: RS-460-PSAP-I3
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad-Core Processor

I cannot give any more informations as I am away from my computer and couldn't access my DXDIAG as my monitor does not display anything right now

I've been contemplating getting a MSI GTX 1050 for my HTPC, the model your listing seems ready for about anything...

Nvidia GTX 1050ti or GTX 1050 or an AMD RX460.

the 1050ti is the fastest but skirts right along the top ridge of your price range at 150 USD. the regular 1050 and RX460 comfortably sit within your rang and are good cards for more casual game play and FHD resolution, however they will choke rather quickly at higher resolutions and you will not be able to just toss all the sliders to maximum. for better DX12 performance of the two cheaper cards, the RX460 will nab you some extra frames, but tends to trail in DX11 titles against the GTX 1050.

The most ressourceful game I play is either Battlefield 3 or CSGO, I I play them at medium settings.

Also, does the amount of gigabytes (2GB/4GB) make a major difference? If so, what are they?

CSGO and BF3 will fun very well with 2gb version of the card. You should consider 4gb only if you want to play at higher resolutions or play newest games at maximum graphics, otherwise, 2gb will be more than enough for your current games.

I've been using GTX 760 2gb for more than 2 years, never had a lack of memory problem at medium settings 1080p gaming, except when i plugged in a 4k monitor.

you will be good with 1050 2GB.

Graphic Card MSI GeForce GTX 1050 2G OC

Would that be the one? It under my price range, so well affordable. What is the difference between this one and the RX 460 apart from the price?

I've been contemplating getting a MSI GTX 1050 for my HTPC, the model your listing seems ready for about anything. the major difference between the GTX 1050 and RX460 is the hardware, where as performance is close but slides in favor of Nvidia for DX11 and AMD for DX12. given your playing all DX11 titles, i would go Nvidia. both cards are powered entirely from the PCIe slot, and will nab you good frame rates in BF3 and CS:GO.
